Am going crazy from the itching bites all over my body. Insect repellent doesn't seem to help much against evil bugs. And creams against the itchiness won't help for long. Argh! Trying to help the bites dissapear faster by using some sticky aloe vera. Also using it on a burn I got from the over a few days ago. Not pretty.
Today we went to a farm where they take care of parentless wild animals. And I got to hold a baby wallaby! So cute! I wonder if I could take one home with me?

Wwoofing
Hello everybody! It's been a while and much has happened since the last time I posted something. Right now I'm in Town of 1770, a small town with fewer people living in it than the numbers in its name. Am currently wwoofing at the 1770 Southern Cross Tourist Retreat, a small hostel that runs on rainwater and with only 10 rooms. Since I haven't had any plans for Christmas I thought it would be nice to stay at one place for a while and get to know people and then spend the holidays with them. I do some gardening and cleaning in exchange for free food and accommodation. Not a bad deal! The only thing I don't like is driving the shuttle bus into town and back, but I guess it's good that I get used to driving again.
Before Town of 1770 I spent 3 days on the world's biggest sand island, Fraser Island. It was a bumpy ride around the island together with a bunch of other passengers and a crazy tour guide. Was intense but fun. Got to see a sting ray and a dingo! Really want to upload some pictures but again it's not working. Might be possible to do it at the library, I will check it out tomorrow.

Rainbow Beach
Left Noosa yesterday for Rainbow beach, a gateway to Fraser Island. The hostel is acceptable, but I'm staying in a seven bed dorm with 6 guys which means the room isn't very clean. There is sand everywhere and in the bathroom it's mixed with water so your feet is always dirtier when leaving the shower than they were before. Of course girls can be messy too but I have a feeling it would be slightly better if I stayed in a female dorm. Then there's the minimal kitchen. Only one stove with 3 working hotplates, two pots for cooking your pasta in and no space to move around. Wondering if I should stay an extra night after coming back from Fraser but I don't really feel like it. Not sure where I'm off to next though. I have to book a trip with greyhound too, I don't know if I'll have the time to do it on Friday when i get back. And hostels fill up quickly during the weekend. Tough decision!
No devices allowed in the hostel computers so I can't upload any pics either :(

Noosa
Finally I'm here in Noosa and I love it! I think I prefer small towns over bigger cities like Sydney or Brisbane. It's much more laid back here, and it's easier to meet people. And they have a beach. Went for my first swim yesterday and my bikini nearly came off, so I think I need to find a new one.
Took a walk in Noosa's national park and it gave me some good exercise. I think I'm going to feel it in my legs tomorrow.
Hoping to get a position at the hostel I'm staying at so I can get free food and accomodation. It's a bit scary how money just dissapears here.

Waiting
The wait is starting to annoy me. I want to leave but am still waiting for the bank card and a parcel from Sydney. Wish there was something to do. Right now the weather is sunny but the weather forecast said it would rain and thunder later on today, so I don't want to go to the Gold Coast in that weather. But then again, you can never trust the weather forecast.

Grey skies
I'm bored. It's been bad weather here for the last couple of days so I haven't gone through with my plans to hop on the train towards Gold Coast to check the place out. And there's not much else to do here, feels like I've already done it all.
Today I bought a pair of shorts, so now I can check that off of my list a

Next is...
Trying to figure out what to do next. I need to go on an adventure so I can enjoy myself a little and feel that I'm actually in Australia. I'm thinking about leaving Brisbane and heading north as soon as I can pick up my new bank card at Westpac bank. Want to go and explore Fraser Island!
Would like to upload some pictures but can't since this computer don't have a memory card slot for me to use. Internet here is really expensive so I try not to spend too much money on it but the library (where internet is free) is a pretty long way from here and smells like urine. And you have to get in line to use it. I miss my computer :(

G'day!
Writing to you now from Chinatown, Brisbane. The weather here is a bit rainy at the moment but maybe it's all well, because now I can get around to updating blogs and resumes. Not much has happened since I arrived in Australia. Mostly walked around the towns. Stayed at some crappy hostles. The one I'm staying at now is nice though, the best one yet.
Malaysian sunrise.
Griffith Univeristy, where I used to want to study.
